Introduction to Dungeons and Dragons:

Dungeons & Dragons was the first pen and paper roleplaying game and 40 years after its inception, it’s more popular than ever.  The backbone of D&D is the imaginative settings and iconic characters.  But what makes it a great game is the complex systems of rules that allow players to customize characters and form unique groups whose adventures will be unlike any other.  In this class, students will learn everything they need to know to play the game.  From character creation to the basics of roleplaying to demystifying all the stats and modifiers, this introduction class perfect for anyone curious about the world of Dungeons and Dragons.

Dungeon Crafters Guild

This is a class dedicated to making physical objects for tabletop roleplaying games like Dungeons and Dragons.  Students will build terrain and learn how to make bookshelves, potion bottles, tavern tables and more.  Apprentice crafters will come away with a variety of skills and techniques that will transfer to many kinds of art projects as well as learning tips and tricks about building on a budget!

Monster High Makeovers

This class will focus specifically on removing and repainting the faces of Monster High dolls.  Though some clothing and accessories are included, this class is geared toward perfecting the face.  Each student will get several heads and be challenged to create a unique look for each one. In addition to learning what tools are best for this trick job, this class will focus more on patience, discipline, and, of course, layers, layers layers!

Junk Spaceships and Robots

Make fantastic, futuristic robots and spaceships out of stuff that usually gets thrown away!  In this class, students will learn several basic art principles and techniques to help them bring the robot or spaceship in their imagination to life.  Students will come away from this class with an understanding of what sorts of adhesives work with which materials, how to prime an object for painting, and how to create different effects with paint.

Become the Game Master:

So you’ve played a few roleplaying games but what you really want is to be the one behind the screen?  Being a game master or Dungeon Master is a labor of love.  The fate of the characters and the fun of your friends is in your hands!  In this class, students will learn how to be a game master through first hand experience and player feedback and learn tips and tricks from a seasoned professional.  It is preferable that students have some basic understanding of how roleplaying games work before attempting to GM. Allowances might be made for students who just want to play but are willing to be guinea pigs for aspiring game masters!
